Chaos, Sorted is a household organisation platform. It helps households manage routines, tasks, schedules, activities, reminders, household information, rewards, status updates and related day-to-day planning.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through https://chaossorted.com.au, the Chaos, Sorted service, customer support, emails, forms, payment flows, integrations, and any related services we provide.

By using Chaos, Sorted or providing personal information to us, you agree to the handling of personal information described in this Privacy Policy. Chaos, Sorted is designed for households, so information entered into a household may be visible to authorised members of that household, depending on roles, features and settings.

Adults may create child profiles and enter information about children. The adult doing so must be a parent, guardian or otherwise authorised to provide that child’s information.

Children should only use Chaos, Sorted with parent or guardian permission and appropriate adult supervision.

We use third-party service providers to operate Chaos, Sorted, such as hosting, payments, authentication, email, notifications, analytics, monitoring and, where enabled, AI or automation providers.

Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers or card security codes on our own systems.

You should not enter sensitive information into Chaos, Sorted unless it is necessary for your household use and you are comfortable with how it may be shared within your household.

Content you provide Text, images, files, comments, task details, activity information, support messages, feedback, survey responses and other information you enter or upload. Payment and billing information Subscription plan, billing name, billing email, billing address, payment status, invoices, receipts and payment provider identifiers. Full card details are handled by the payment provider. Device and technical information IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, session information, logs, diagnostic data, error reports and security events. Usage information How you interact with the service, features used, settings, clicks, events, performance data and analytics information. Location-related information Approximate location inferred from IP address, location selected by you, household location, weather location or device-based location if you enable it. Integration information Information received from third-party services you connect or use, such as authentication providers, calendar providers, email providers, payment providers or notification services. Support and communications Emails, support requests, troubleshooting information, feedback, complaints, marketing preferences and records of our interactions with you.

Google user data

Chaos, Sorted may allow you to connect your Google Account to the Service, including for features such as Google sign-in, calendar import, calendar syncing, contact selection, or other Google-powered integrations that we make available from time to time.

If you choose to connect your Google Account, we will only request access to the Google user data that is reasonably necessary to provide the feature you have chosen to use. The specific Google data we access will depend on the permissions you approve through Google’s consent process.

Depending on the Google integration you choose to use, the Google user data we may access may include:

basic Google Account profile information, such as your name, email address, and profile image, if you use Google sign-in;

Google Calendar information, such as calendar names, event titles, event times, event locations, event descriptions, attendees, recurrence details, and event identifiers, if you connect Google Calendar;

Google contact information, such as names and email addresses, if you use a feature that allows you to select or invite contacts from your Google Account; and

other Google user data that is clearly disclosed to you at the time we request access.

We use Google user data only to provide and improve the Chaos, Sorted features you choose to use, including to:

authenticate your account;

display relevant Google Calendar events in your household schedule;

help create, update, or manage household activities, reminders, routines, or planning information;

allow you to invite or identify people you choose to involve in your Household;

sync information between Chaos, Sorted and Google services where you have enabled syncing;

troubleshoot, secure, and support the relevant integration; and

comply with legal obligations.

We do not use Google user data for advertising.

We do not use Google user data to determine credit-worthiness, lending eligibility, insurance eligibility, employment eligibility, or other eligibility decisions.

We do not use Google user data for surveillance or to help any third party conduct surveillance.

We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to:

provide or improve user-facing features that you have chosen to use;

comply with applicable law;

protect against security threats, abuse, or fraud; or

Where practical, we store only the information needed for Chaos, Sorted to provide the relevant feature. For example, if you connect Google Calendar, we may store selected event details, event identifiers, sync tokens, or metadata needed to display, update, or sync events.

You can disconnect your Google Account from Chaos, Sorted at any time through the settings we make available or through your Google Account permissions settings. If you disconnect your Google Account, we will stop accessing new Google user data from that account, although previously imported information may remain in Chaos, Sorted unless you delete it or request deletion.

You may request deletion of Google user data we hold about you by contacting us using the details in this Privacy Policy. We will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify the relevant Google user data, subject to legal, security, backup, dispute resolution, and technical limitations described in this Privacy Policy.

Chaos, Sorted’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Where practical, we configure analytics tools to limit the collection of directly identifying information and to avoid collecting sensitive household or children’s information.

We use analytics information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve Chaos, Sorted. We do not sell analytics information.

You may be able to limit some analytics collection by adjusting your browser settings, blocking cookies, using privacy tools, or changing any analytics preferences we make available in the Service. Some analytics and diagnostic collection may still be necessary for security, fraud prevention, debugging, or core service operation.

Where we use Google Analytics or similar Google measurement services, Google may process information about your use of the website or Service in accordance with Google’s own privacy practices. We use Google Analytics to understand website and product usage, measure performance, and improve Chaos, Sorted. We do not use Google Analytics to process Google user data obtained through Google OAuth permissions, such as Google Calendar data, unless expressly disclosed and permitted by Google’s applicable policies.

We may collect and handle children’s information for the purposes of providing household organisation features, including routines, tasks, schedules, activities, rewards, reminders, profiles, household status and related functionality.

We do not knowingly allow children to create paid subscriptions or independently manage household billing. Such use is a breach of the Chaos, Sorted Terms of Service.

We may ask for verification before changing, restricting or deleting information associated with a child or household.

Household visibility and shared information

Chaos, Sorted is designed to help household members coordinate with each other. Information entered into a household may be visible to other authorised household members, depending on roles, features, permissions and settings.

You should not enter information into Chaos, Sorted if you do not want it to be visible to other authorised members of your household.

Account owners and authorised adult household members may be able to add, edit, view, remove or manage information about other household members, including children, depending on the features and permissions available.

You are responsible for configuring household access and permissions appropriately, removing people who should no longer have access, and ensuring that information you add about other people is accurate and provided with appropriate authority or consent.
